Hello does anyone know of any caravan sites that accept housing benefit or any organisations that might help a homeless person with a caravan on benefits. House has tried. Have tried Shelter, CAB, CLP but no luck. Wierdly getting less help because client isn’t a gypsy / traveller.

Short term idea as we’re in the ‘off season’ – is your client a member of the caravan club? (£38 plus £7.50 joining fee). Members can stay on a site for upto 21 days at a time, some sites are open year round. The one’s round here cost less than £5 per night pitch fees and less than £5 per adult (per night) (kids are about £1.50 pn) – I understand from my HB dept that some assistance is available. I heard of one couple who spent 21 days on a site then pulled off for one night, before returning – it worked for them.
