Will any of them actually ever get built?
The combination of organised NIMBYists, poor planning, the ‘credit crunch’, better alternatives and ministers more concerned with style over substance means I bet 1 whole British pound to the first person to place a comment that there will not be 1 new house finished in an Eco Town in the next 10 years.
Perhaps the government should involve some Chinese methodology and round up all the pure NIMBYists and force them to build the Eco Town that they didn’t want built.
